Seed Sowers empowers inmates with weekly training in spiritual growth and teach the inmate how to have an intimate relationship with God through daily Bible reading and prayer and life. They learn how to recognize the influence of Satan in their lives and how to use the Word of God to overcome Satan's schemes .Finally, we teach them how to share the transforming power of Christ with those around them.
In Ephesians 6:12, we learn that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Then in II Corinthians 10:3-4, we learn that “though we walk according to the flesh we do not war according to the flesh." The word says that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses."
These inmates are not battling drug and alcohol addiction; they are battling Satan. Addiction is just the weapon Satan is using against them. So how do they overcome? How do they defeat Satan? How in the world do they break free from the bondage of addiction? The answer is simple: by being trained to use their weapon, the word.
